We ended the tour back in Christchurch where some people left. We had an unofficial group dinner at a place called “Lone Star” which was not at all like the “Lone Star” restaurants back in the States (ex: no barrels of peanuts). The portions were HUGE but it was a little pricey, not the most amazing food and the tables sucked… We had 34 people, all sitting at round tables that were pushed together which made conversations extremely awkward. It was still nice to get out and have a farewell dinner though.
The next day nothing really happened… Ate breakfast and then prepped for my trip to Sydney. Got to the airport in a little bit of a rush (the shuttle company messed up and sent the shuttle a half hour late) but it all worked out just fine in the end. 4 people from the trip were on the flight which was nice, especially since one of them, Nikola (Texas, US), is going to the same University over here so we both could kind of scramble together…
